Worship Report December 2016

The first Sunday of Advent this year is November 27, so by the time we are in December, Advent (the season marked by the four Sundays before Christmas) is under way. Each week as we mark our progress toward Christmas Day with our planning, cooking, decorating and purchasing, the Rev. Ann will offer thoughts to help us remember and live the Christmas values symbolized by the Advent candles: peace, love, joy and hope.

Church traditions continue – remember:
December 4 at 5 pm – Choir Dinner, a festive start to the season with yummy food, singing, a visit from Santa, and drawings for baskets of fun;
Each Sunday, we will explore the meaning of Advent and how it applies to our lives;
The Shasta High School Madrigal Production will be presented for two weeks: Wednesday through Saturday nights, November 30 through December 10. Madrigals will sing for our worship service Sunday, December 4;
December 11 we will observe communion
Pilgrim will host the Solstice Celebration on December 22 at 7:00 pm;
December 24 we will share both our (1) traditional family Christmas service at 7:00 pm and our (2) midnight candle light service at 11:00 pm;
December 25, Christmas Day, falls on Sunday this year. Come to church for a warm and casual family gathering to celebrate the day.

See you in church!

Remembering that every day our lives reflect how we experience worship,
