June 2016 Learning Report
June 5th. will be our Promotion/Graduation Sunday when we will recognize all of our students for the work they have completed this school year. Special recognition will be given graduates of 8th grade, high school, college, and grad school.
On June 12 and June 19, our school age kids will be working on crafts for the French Country Market under the direction of Michelle Martin-Streeby.
On June 19, Father’ Day, the children of the church and their families will host an ice-cream social during Fellowship Hour.
Beginning June 26 and continuing through the rest of summer, our school age kids will be worshipping with their families and their greater Pilgrim family. Please welcome them. Children 7 and under will be with Kelli and Nahoko for age-apprpriate activities. (Our regular Sunday School program will resume September 4th.)
Monday afternoon Faith Forum group completed Lloyd Gerring’s book, “From the Big Bang to God”. Copies of this book are now available on the book cart if you missed the study group and wish to read on your own. You can also find other books from past book studies there as well. Pick something up for summer reading:)
“Hoping Against Hope” by John Caputo is the next book the group will discuss. We will begin on Monday, June 6th. This would be a great time for newcomers to join the group. All are welcome in the Fireside Room, Mondays, 2-3:30 pm.
